Gladiator_My fave movie

“What we do in life echoes in eternity”

 

My favourite movie is Gladiator. It is about Maximus (everybody knows the story xD) General of Army of Rome who, for envy, is betrayed by Comodo (Imperator’s son) who commands to assassinate Maximus´s family and capture and convert him in slave. Later he becomes a gladiator; he had to fight for his life, combating with other gladiator and even with tigers. Using his army´s tactics, he achieved keep safe his mates and himself, wining popularity. Finally, Maximus challenged to Comodo to fight in the Coliseum, where the fight isn´t just, due to Comodo hurts Maximus before get in the Arena. In the final fight, Maximus achieves to cut the Comodo´s neck and kill him, but he died too (bled).

This movie touched my heart :I, cause it gives value to the family. Maximus loves his wife and son, he remember them every day and fight each battle in their honour with the hope to see them again when “his time” arrives or how he says “in eternity”.

Family has much value to me; this I learned from dad and granddad, who say (well my granddad “said”) “family is the most important, it´s in 1° place; things go and back, but we always are gonna be together”. Maximus remember me to them, the 3 are warriors (my dad and granddad are Carabineros xD!) and put their families in 1° place in their lives.

The best movie ever. I love it!!!! <3

Cultural Diversity

Namaste v/s Hola

            

         The human live in society and from we born, we belong to a determinate culture. The culture is what gives us identity, that is to say, some characteristics that distinguish a group of people of other, It characteristics includes religion, political system, physical features, typical dishes, clothes and dances, housing, life style and traditions in general. Exist much kind of cultures in the entire world, this is called cultural diversity.

            If I think in cultural diversity, a good example is India and Chile. These countries have a lot of differences, for example the way to clothe, Indian women use Saris while Chilean have an occidental style; in India religion is Hinduism and they´re polytheistic and here we´re Christians and monotheistic, weddings in Chile are realising for love, instead in India it is to convenience (an economic treaty) and the fiancé arrives to ceremony´s place on an elephant. Some traditional dishes of India are dal, rotis, chapati, bhujia, etc what characterise to have varied condiments, typical Chilean food are (u know :v) empanada, choripan , humitas, pastel de papas, sopaipas, so on. Our national dance is La Cueca, in India there are 4 dances: odissi, bharata natyam, kuchipudi and mohiniyattam. Finally we have crafts, in India there is mayapur and in Chile the indio pícaro ;)

            India and Chile have interesting cultures; they are very different a real culture clash.
