90´s Cartoons C:

Flashback in my childhood ü

When I watch cartoons with my sisters I always tell them the same: “Cartoons in my time were better than cartoons you watch now”. While hey watch Phineas and Ferb, Pucca, Fish Hooks…I watched Sailor Moon, Rocko´s modern life, Conan, The Angry Beavers, The Wild Thornberrys, Johnny Bravo, Dexter’s Laboratory, Cow and Chicken, Rocket Power, Catdog, Pinky and Brain, Animaniacs…uuuuuf I could enumerate 1000 and 1000 xD! But my faves are Hey Arnold and Rugrats :D

I watched them before to go to school and on weekend on Megavisión xD, Chilevisión and on TV cable, all the time ^^ They are so great series, I still watch and enjoy them. I like all the adventures that they have :) I love the Arnold´s chapter Stoop Kid, when they said “Stoop kid´s afraid to leave his stoop” jajajajajaj it´s a classic :P I remember that I went to watch Rugrats the movie to the cimema, twas great…after I watched on VHS!!! Jajajajaja that old :B Rugrats in Paris, and I wanna watch Rugrats go wild (there they are with the Tornberrys :D). Also I watched Arnold the movie, but this was bad, I didn´t like it, coz twas like a long chapter buuuu!! :/ the only good of the movie was that at last Helga tells to Arnold that she´s in love with him!!! so she kisses him xD

Whatever…Rugrats and Hey Arnold (well all the cartoons that I named before xD) made my childhood greatest and more entertaining C: I will watch them all my life :P

Technology

MP3
If I think in a technological apparatus I really feel it was one of the best inventions, I would choose to MP3.

Nowadays MP3 are practically obsoletes because they have been replaced for MP4 and Ipod (they are dying too xD) mobiles, Ipads, tablets and etc…but in their time MP3 were great. Before to know MP3 there were personal stereo and discman, so we needed to put inside a cassette or a CD, but MP3 only we needed to download music from internet and ready! our device was filled of music :) It felt incredible to see the infinity of music it was possible to save on it…200, 250 songs…twas a madness!!! :V

MP3…ooh so many memories C: my school days:  lunch time, break, boring classes and physical education classes (in that time I wore an orthopaedic corset so I was exempt :D)…and the way to my relative´s houses, to the hospital and journeys to the beach, countryside, so on…long trips :B MP3 made my trips and school days more entertaining, I could carry my fave music wherever I wanted.

For me MP3 was a great invention what it gave way to new kinds of music storage :P

Pictures

Life is fragile

One day I was looking for I don´t know what xD in internet when I found a picture what caught my attention.  In this picture you can see a woman who is on the sand and some parts of her body are scattered. It is hard to explain what exactly this picture makes me feel it is a mix of fear, sadness and distress…I don´t know…it is a strange feeling…
Seeing the picture, the woman makes me think about breast cancer…I don´t know…it is because she doesn´t has her breasts…I think she is suffering, she looks frail and defenceless, how trying to refuge or protect herself.

She remembers me to Tía Teresa :) she was my grandma´s younger sister and she died 5 years ago on account of breast cancer. When doctors detected her cancer, it was a major blow what changed her life completely. Her health started to deteriorate and cancer consumed her vitality, her life. She only resisted one month…breast cancer defeated her. Nobody in our family expected for something like that, it was so sudden, but at least we were prepared to face her death.

So this picture makes me remember that life is so fragile and that our body is so vulnerable to suffer illness, accidents, injuries, etc…Life is short, unexpected and it is full of difficulties…I try to enjoy it more as possible and to be happy…nobody has life insured

Myths & Legends

The Dreamcatcher Legend

Dreamcatcher like me a lot. I think they are very nice for the form that they have, the web design, and the ornaments which they are made like feathers, beads… In general the craft things like me so much and the dreamcatcher is my fave one, but the thing about this that like me the most is the story, the legend.

It says thus: Once upon a time… xdd! no, this legend stats when Iktomi, the great master of wisdom appeared in spider´s form in front of Lakota, the Sioux Indian´s old spiritual leader. So Iktomi spoke him about the circle of life and that, in life, there are bad and good forces that can intervene and guide you in the right or wrong direction. Then Iktomi took a willow hoop and some feathers, beads and horsehair and he began to weave a spider web. Finally Iktomi finished weaving and he gave the dreamcatcher to Lakota. So Iktomi told him that he had to use the web to catch the beautiful ideas, dreams and visions of him and his people, and the evil would go through the hole in the web´s centre.

And now the dreamcatchers are hung over the beds to scrutinize the people´s dreams. Personality I don´t believe in the “power” of this element, I have one just for decoration :)
